With this private visit you will not only enjoy this palace in exclusivity, but you will have the chance to see rooms and areas that are normally close to the public

Liria Palace is one of the most important private homes in Madrid. It was built in the 18th century on the orders of the third Duke of Berwick and Liria, Jacobo Fitz-James Stuart y Colón. Today the palace is the residence of the 19th Duke of Alba, Carlos Fitz-James Stuart, and headquarters of the Casa de Alba Foundation. It is also one of the most important buildings in Madrid, architecturally speaking, and home to one of the world’s foremost private art collections.

Along our tour we’ll visit in private the noble floor of the house: the Stuart room, with the portrait of Mary Stuart and the portrait of the Duke of Berwick, who decided to build the palace; the Flemish room, with paintings by Rubens and Brueghel, among others; the Spanish room, with masterpieces by Velázquez, Ribera, etc.; and  what probably is the gem of the palace, the Goya room, with the portrait of the 13th Duchess of Alba that Goya painted for her and that hangs on the wall of this room.

Special mention deserves the palace library that keeps breathtaking documents, unique in the world: Christopher Columbus letters, maps from the 16th century, porcelain objects, tapestries, furniture, sculptures, family photos, etc. An exclusive experience that you will never forget!
