Eduardo Chillida, born in the early 1900s in San Sebastian, is one of the most famous and international sculptors in the Spanish history. Chillida dedicated his entire life to his only passion: sculpture. Opened in the year 2000, Chillida Leku (which means “Chillida’s place” in Basque language) is an open-air museum built around the ancient Basque farmhouse called Zabalaga, which is the life-project of this artist: a mixture of art and nature, placed in a bucolic environment and surrounded by a vast variety of trees.
This tour is made in a private premium vehicle and led by a local expert guide who will accompany you throughout the whole journey. You will enjoy a private museum tour at Chillida Leku, where you will feel the peace that the artist wanted to express with his artwork. Later on we’ll make our way to a txakolinera, which is the name of the local wineries that produce a fine, young, delicate white wine named txakoli. Of course the visit includes a tasting, and the tour will reach its highest point with a lunch at the winery prepared by our hosts.
After this, we are sure that txakoli wine will get a preferential place in your wine collection.
