It looks like an upper-class private garden city, but it was created to host the biggest hospital in the city.  Since 2005, the actual hospital of Sant Pau has moved into a modern building. The old complex, a sort of walled garden town, full of colorful pavilions with fantastic ceramics and beautiful stained-glass windows, is open to visitors to admire the magnificent decoration designed by Domenech i Muntaner.
