The term «henna» is Arabic and is associated with many cultures and religions. It is most predominant in India. The henna itself is a temporary dye that has gained popularity for its beauty as a form of body adornment to express luck and happiness. It is often featured at rituals and ceremonial events such as engagements, weddings and births.
Henna paste is made out of natural ingredients obtained from the extract that comes from the Henna plant, Lawsonia inermis. After crushing the leaves they are mixed with natural coconut sugar, essential oils and distilled water.
The henna dye reaches peak level after 24 hours. It fades and disappears in 10 to 15 days. You can speed things up by washing it often with soap and water.
